Bizzykidz at Andrew Wood Photography

We love meeting aspiring mini models here at Andrew Wood Photography, so working with Bizzykidz Talent & Modelling Agency couldn't be more of a perfect match!

Bizzykidz agency take on a huge number of talented little ones every year from all over the UK. With a client list including Harrods, Nick Jr, Sky Sports and Getty Images, it's no wonder so many mini Bizzykidz models get to strut their stuff!

Andrew Wood Photography is the first stop for these aspiring little ones on their path to stardom! Here they get their first taste of just what it takes shine in front of the camera. An hour long portfolio session with our photographers often see's little ones jumping, dancing, posing and most importantly giggling away to create the best portfolio images possible; with the emphasis being on creating the variety of images that casting directors like to see, and compile a portfolio that stands out. Not only do they come to us for their all important portfolio images, we also complete an assessment to let Bizzykidz know just how super each one of our mini models has been!

The whole process is fun, relaxed and friendly and we love nothing more than to get creative while inspiring our tiny superstars! We wish everyone we have met so far the best for their future in the industry and can't wait to meet many more of you!

Confidently Curvacious!

Being a plus size gal myself, this post is going to come from the heart. To start the ball rolling, I just want you to ask yourself this question...

You only have one body, so why not embrace it?

If you're anything like me (hanging out just down there in the picture below this paragraph), your insecurities will lie in the tops of your arms that have a little bit more meat on them than you would like, your overly massive bottom that seems to take over the second you check out your side profile in the mirror, and of course the legs! Lets just leave it at that shall we! I'll openly admit that it isn't always a breeze in the park, but If I sit and think carefully do I really care that I'm a bit different? Do I really care that my legs wobble a bit as I walk, do I really care that my bum might look a bit too big in those jeans I love so much. The fact is, I don't. You know why, because frankly it's no one else's business. Believe it or not I like to try and keep fit. I have a personal trainer and I dance. I like to eat well but of course am a fiend for a little bar of chocolate or two! I wouldn't be human if I didn't, but as is the famous saying, never judge a book by its cover...

As we all know by now, the media is the main culprit in body shaming. For years we have had it drilled into us that we have to look a certain way to be deemed 'attractive'. Perceptions are changing however, and of course that can be nothing but good! Plus size models such as Tess Munster, Ashley Graham and Tara Lynn are opening up a world of possibilities for us curvy cuties, and as our social media feeds become more overrun with love and acceptance for all body shapes and sizes everyday, the good vibes just keep on coming!

Here at Andrew Wood we love nothing more than challenging each and every one of those body shaming perspectives by channelling your inner curves! Our award winning female boudoir photographers have a brilliant eye for making you look and feel your best of course, and enhancing what assets we have! After all, why don't we deserve to feel sexy and amazing just because have a little bit more to love??

We are curvy, we are beautiful & we are taking the world by storm.

If you need any more reasons to believe your worth a million dollars, then check out some of these inspirational quotes from other body confident beauties:

'Girls of all kinds can be beautiful – from the thin, plus-sized, short, very tall, ebony to porcelain-skinned; the quirky, clumsy, shy, outgoing and all in between. It's not easy though because many people still put beauty into a confining, narrow box...Think outside of the box...Pledge that you will look in the mirror and find the unique beauty in you.' - Tyra Banks

‘I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it's important to embrace it and get down! The female body is something that's so beautiful. I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not diss other women for being proud of theirs!’ - Christina Aguilera

‘I love my curves and I embrace them.’ - Eva Mendes

‘I’ve never had one of those amazing yoga bodies. My body is what it is. I am sure if I went on a crash diet, lost two stone and toned up I could make loads of money by making fitness videos and selling my story to the tabloids. But I don’t want to encourage women to be anything other than what they are. That’s very important to me.’ - Kelly Brook

So why not join us and celebrate your body in style! Come in for that confidence boost you've been craving and our photographers will work with you to make you shine like the star you deserve to be! Live life on the daring side and push yourself out of your comfort zone once in a while, it will do your confidence the world of good! You deserve to look amazing, I have no doubt that you will surprise yourself!

10 things that make me happy

Sometimes we all have those days where you just feel a little rubbish! At the start of this year, I decided I was going to start my own positivity jar to help on these days, so every day I try and jot down something good that has happened on a little piece of paper, and place it in the jar. This jar will stay sealed until New Year where I will take out all the slips of paper and celebrate everything good that happened over the year!

I think it's really important to remember all these little positive experiences that make us happy, and in a bid to encourage you guys to do the same, I would like to share with you the 10 things that make me most happy (in no particular order). Sounds corny, but sometimes we need a little reminder!

1. Music: My favourite place to spend an evening has to be at a gig with friends. Live music and a few cheeky drinks, I can't imagine anything better!

2.Socialising/friends: My friends are the ones who make me laugh, and without a little bit of laughter where would we be!? I love spending time with other people, it's much more fun than being by yourself!

3.Teaching drama: I love to share my skills and watch kids grow in confidence. Knowing that you have helped that is just the best feeling!

4.My Camera!: I love having the ability to capture the world and show people what is important in my eyes. Having a voice via images is such a brilliant feeling.

5.Family: I annoy my mum something rotten and me and my brother don't always see eye to eye, but I suppose without them who would I have to torment!?

6.My hamster: She is just SO adorable. Whenever I've had a bad day, I just give her a cuddle and her cuteness just cheers me right up!

7.My bed: Bedtime is definitely the best time of the day! !Who agrees with me!?

8.Coffee: I literally cannot get through a day without a coffee! Don't be surprised if you catch me chillin' out in Starbucks or Costa several times a week! I swear half of my wages goes in there!

9.Chocolate: Of course. Who isn't happy with a lovely bar of Dairy Milk in their hands!?

10.Unexpected Politeness: A simple smile from a stranger walking down the street, or someone stepping aside to let you off the tram first. All these little things have such a positive effect and make me feel happy for hours afterwards!
